POM, a semi-crystalline polyacetal copolymer, finds diverse applications such as anti-extrusion rings, guide ring bushes, scrapers, and precision-machined parts requiring tight tolerances. It stands out as a significant engineering thermoplastic due to its favorable physical properties, low water absorption, and robust chemical resistance. POM is compatible with mineral oils and water-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, and HFC fluids). However, it is susceptible to damage from concentrated acids and bases.
